Please read these instructions carefully before using your Mahala Sauna. Following this guide will help you set up safely, get the best results from each session and protect your product for long-term use.
Before you start
Your Mahala Sauna is supplied with a dedicated product manual. Always:
- Read all instructions fully before first use.
- Check the rated voltage and power requirements.
- Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference.
Place your sauna in a stable, dry and well-ventilated area:
- On a flat, level surface away from water sources.
- With enough space around doors and vents to open freely.
- Clear of flammable materials, curtains and soft furnishings.
Always use a suitable, grounded outlet:
- Do not use damaged sockets, cables or extension leads.
- Never route cables under rugs or where they may be tripped over.
- Do not share the same outlet with other high-load devices.
Assembly & first use
Follow the step-by-step assembly guide in your manual. In general:
- Unpack all parts carefully and check for visible damage.
- Assemble the frame and panels in the order shown.
- Connect power and control cables exactly as illustrated.
If anything appears missing or damaged, do not complete assembly – contact our support team first.
Before your first session, run a short warm-up cycle:
- Turn the sauna on and set a moderate temperature.
- Allow it to pre-heat with the door closed.
- Check that controls, lights and heating behave as described.
You may notice a light “new product” smell during first use – this should fade after the initial cycles.
During each session
- Hydrate before, during and after your session.
- Start with shorter sessions and lower heat if you are new.
- Leave the door slightly open if you feel uncomfortable.
- Immediately leave the sauna if you feel dizzy, faint or unwell.
Exact times may vary by product model and your own health, but as a general guide:
- Beginners: 10–15 minutes per session.
- Regular users: up to 20–30 minutes, if comfortable.
- Allow the body to cool and re-hydrate between sessions.
- Children should never use the sauna unsupervised.
- Pregnant individuals or those with heart, blood pressure or other medical conditions should consult a doctor before use.
- If in doubt, seek professional medical advice prior to starting regular sauna sessions.
Cleaning & care
After each session
Wipe down benches and touch points with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Leave the door open briefly
to allow the interior to dry and ventilate fully.
Regular cleaning
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach or high-pressure washing equipment.
Never pour water directly onto electrical components.
Protecting surfaces
Do not place wet towels, scented oils or sharp objects directly on wooden surfaces. Use approved
mats or covers where recommended in your manual.
When not to use the sauna
Do not use your sauna, and contact a medical professional first, if:
- You have serious cardiovascular, respiratory or circulatory issues.
- You are pregnant, taking prescription medication that affects blood pressure or temperature regulation.
- You have a fever, open wounds or active skin infections.
Turn off the sauna at the mains and do not use it again until checked if you notice:
- Burning smells, smoke or unusual noises.
- Visible damage to cables, controls or heating elements.
- Water ingress, leaks or condensation near electrical parts.
These instructions provide general guidance. Always follow the specific directions, safety notes and technical limits given in the manual for your exact Mahala Sauna model.
